a.
Each student is assigned an academic advisor who will follow
through the student's 2nd and 3rd years of study.
b.
Students have to attend a briefing session on the academic
advisory system and curriculum given by the Convenor of
the Curriculum Committee, in which students would receive
information on suggested packages of courses for the subsequent
years of study. Each student has to discuss his/her tentative
study scheme with the academic advisor. The academic advisor
has to endorse the study scheme before the student can submit
the study scheme to the Department for the purpose of course
planning.
c.
Students can change the course(s) they take during registration
and the add/drop period. They could discuss these changes
with their academic advisor before making these changes.
d.
Students are required to meet with their academic advisor
at least once each term to discuss their programme of study.
The academic advisor would also take care of the counseling
of other academic matters, such as failure in courses and
probation, of the student he or she supervises. |
